* at 1151 am EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will
cause flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marietta, Harrisville, St. Marys, Middlebourne, Williamstown, Paden
City, Sistersville, Pennsboro, Belmont, West Union, North Bend
State Park, Boaz, Newport, Matamoras, Lowell, Ellenboro, Cairo,
Pullman, friendly and fly.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.

Lake Vesuvius and Forked Run State Park.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Muskingum River at Beverly.
* At 6:45 am Saturday the stage was 27.9 feet.
* Record flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to rise to
near 31.9 feet by early afternoon Sunday. The river will fall below flood
stage by Monday evening.
* At stages near 34.0 feet... several areas near the river are flooded. Homes,
farmland, camps, several sections of Route 60, and secondary roads near the
river are flooded.
* A crest near 31.9 feet compares to a previous crest of 31.8 feet on February 16
2018.
